Cobi runs the day to day function of Hugs. Cobi grew up around trades people and is a twice drop out student of architecture; once at Portland State, and another at Berkeley. He owns Cieslinski Goods ("CGoods") but works primarily as a Trauma, Intimacy and Plant Medicine therapist. Before graduate school he worked in coffee as a barista and trainer for 11 years. He has been a member of community pottery studios in Portland, Brooklyn, and Chicago. Cobi taught pottery at Chicago Ceramic Center from 2022 - 2025 and at Clay Centre in Auckland NZ from 2025 - 2026. Jakes teaching style is very hands on with a holistic approach. Classes tend to be casual, laid back, and with a lot of R&B. Cobi identifies as Queer and is of Mixed Polish and Bashalde Romani culture.
